Third Reich German 1936 IX Olympiade Berlin RAD STERN FAHRT Medallion armed forces 24 x 38 mmAn original 70 mm bronze commemorative table medal minted for the 9th Olympiad in Berlin 1936. The front with Olympic bell, national eagle over Olympic rings. Below the Olympic rings and lettering "Youth of the World". The reverse with inscription on upper border "RAD Sternfahrt" (Reich Labour Service), an organized trip by that organisation to Berlin, in the run up to the Games. Signed "Otto Placzek". Minor surface marks otherwise very good condition.
