I believe this to be a pre war example, as it came from behind the former iron curtain and was with other items that dated to the 1930s 1940s. While openers of this type existed before and after the war, they would have only been prevalent in Eastern Germany before the war. Coca Cola was extensively advertised in Germany in the late 1920's
