this example is the smaller case which was developed to suit the lever frames with 4" centres allowing  these to be grouped next to each other

with an "S" for Swindon where the lamp was made

The dimensions of the lock case are L 6 1/4" H 5" and D 1 1/8"

the coils have been tested and is in full working order

RA 7818 G.W.R. PATTERN LIGHT WOOD CASE LAMP IN/OUT REPEATER. parts this example is the smallerA late 1950 G. W. R. pattern lamp in out repeater which was possible manufactured by the railway at their Reading Signal Works, reason I say this is because there has never been the usual R. E. Thompson & Co brass makers label. I've never come across this before and could be one made prior to letting Thompsons manufacture them. This instrument is in excellent ex box tested condition and has a number 50 Traffolite label. The "white" powder is Brasso !
